He was predeceased by: his son Edward Allen Drake, Jr.; and his siblings, Mike Drake and Kitty Afzal. He is survived by: his son Jim Drake; his grandchildren, Bryonna, Marcus, Chyanne, Dallas and Skylar; his great grandchildren, Leeland, Delilah and Haysten; and his siblings, Johnny Drake, Steve Drake, Phil Dawson and Beverly Drake.
