He was predeceased by: his son Steve Meece; his parents, Luther Whitt and Hazel Benton; and his siblings, Douglass, Billy Whitt and Hilda Rhodehamel.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Whitt (Joslyn), Cindy Settlemire (Doug) and Patty Taulbee; his grandson Liam Whitt; his siblings, Charles Whitt (Connie), Gene Benton (Charolette), Judy Abney, Matilda Porter and Betty Robertson; and his close friend Barb Brown. He is also survived by many other grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
