He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred; his daughter Brenda Mills; his parents, Leonard Simmons and Beatrice Simmons; and his siblings, Harold, Dean Sim, Jean Cottrell and Clara Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Lanney Simmons (Joy), Richard Simmons and Debbie Church (Randy); and his grandchildren, Angela Simmons, Renee Wieczorek (Chip), Andrew Simmons (McKenzie), Alex Simmons, Chrystal Robinson (Brian) and Brad Pursley. He is also survived by six great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
