He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda "Sue"; his son Jerry Cook; his parents, John Cook and Bessie Cook; and his siblings, Roy, Rev. Sherman, Henry, Edward, Acy, Ernest, Brown Cook, Delta Gabbard, Myrtle Malicote and Marie Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Garry Cook and Norma Jean Cook; his stepchildren, Tina Kilburn, Jamie Alexander (Elgie), Diann Alexander (Grant) and Bowie Ferguson; and his close friend Mike Spencer. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren.
