He was predeceased by: his parents, Fernando Hernandez and Rogelia Hernandez; and his siblings, Candido, Rodolfo, Jesus, Oscar, Geoveva and Adelina Chavez.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Dean Hernandez (Kelly) of Galena and Alan Hernandez of Hilliard; his stepchildren, Vanessa Stone (Benjamin) of Waynesville, Karen Laymaster (Brian) of Madison and Max Laymaster of Waynesville; his brothers, Fernando Hernandez (Bea) of Sinston, George Hernandez (Minga) of Sinton and Homer Hernandez of Annaville, Texas; and also Alicia Alonzo of Arlington, Texas..
