She was predeceased by: her husband Andy; her grandson Elliott Brooks; her parents, Clofus Johnson and Clara Johnson; and her siblings, Tyson, Carl, Clofus Jr., Phillip Johnson, Louise Venable, Doris Johnson, Juanita Pressley, Jeanette Lake, Mildred Rains and Ethel Hurst.

She is survived by: her children, Tom Brooks (Clara) and Carol Rickey (Tom); her grandchildren, Nick Smith (Amanda), Michael Brooks (Robin), Andrew Rickey, Alexander Rickey (Melanie) and Chase Rickey; her great grandchildren, Leona, Nicholas Jr., Oliver, Layla, Mya, Michael Jr., Edison, Sullivan, Marcella and George; and her brother Steve Johnson (Jane).

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home (185 N Main St, Waynesville, OH 45068). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
