He was predeceased by: his parents, William Doster and Esther Underwood Doster. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, David Doster (Cindi), Daniel Doster (Melody), Susan Doster (Rick Mertens) and Anne Glaze (Travis); his grandchildren, Ashlee Wainright (Dan), Drew Doster (Francie), Adam Doster (Amanda Schweigart), Bill Doster (Emily), Jim Doster (Catherine), Elizabeth Bargeron (Graham), Nathaniel Glaze and Eric Glaze; his great grandchildren, Quentin, Wesley and Eloise; and his siblings, Robert Doster (Mary Lou), John Doster (Carol) and Jane Strecker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
For 19-years, Doster's Dan-D Acres pick-your-own strawberry patch was the foundation for entrepreneurial training for his four kids and the inspiration for the entrepreneurship textbook he wrote.
