He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred R. and Irene Smith Jr.; and his sister Carol Lou Smith. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Fred R. Smith IV (Andrea), Brian Smith (Bethany), Rachel Smith, Christina Marquez (Jose), Sandra Lenth (Rick) and Wendy Smith; and his sister Linda Gillen (Jack). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
