He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, John, Jeremiah (Amy), Jacob (Karrie), Joseph Whitsel, Jennifer Green (Michael), Joy Whitsel and Jill Ard (Cliff); his grandchildren, Kaleb, Reece, Michael, Brayden, Connor, Jackson, Natalie, Ezra, Evelyn and Piper; and his siblings, Doug, Bruce Whitsel, Karen Stevens (Ron), Susan Radtke (Larry) and Debbie Whitsel.
