She was predeceased by: her grandson Shane McCoy; her parents, Lafe Spears and Mintie Johnson; and her siblings, Marvin Spears, Martha Blackburn and Onie Roop.
She is survived by: her husband Clyde; her sons, Allen McCoy (Fran) and Denzil McCoy (Arlene); her grandchildren, Melanie, Stephanie, Gina, Michael, Kevin, Daniel and Andrew; and her siblings, Lonis "L." Spears (Carol), Leetha Plymail and Lynn Kenny (Bill). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
