He was predeceased by: his wife Delois; his sons, Charles "Chuck" Jerry Wells and Robert "Bob" Lee Wells; his son-in-law David Taylor; his parents, Ira Wells and Carrie Belle; and his siblings, Walt, Bud, Pete, Jim, Freeman, Jeanetta and Bertha.
He is survived by: his daughters, Betty Wells, Olivia Taylor and LaDonna A. Russel; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Wells; and his grandchildren, Scott, Cheryl, Jacqueline, Valerie, Jason, William, Sean, Dawn and Gabriel. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many friends.
