Shirley Essig Obituary
In loving memory of Shirley Essig of Waynesburg, Ohio, born in Canton, Ohio, who departed this world on April 30, 2024 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmar Hockenberry and Frances Hockenberry (Eibel); her husband Charles "Chuck" Essig; her son Robert "Bobby" Essig; and her siblings, Betty Horton, Eileen Coleman, Max, Ted, Robert, Harold, Ralph, Carl, Kenny and Ray Hockenberry.
She is survived by: her daughter Carol; her son-in-law Jay Herstine; her sons, Larry (Marna Essig) and Jeffrey (Mona Essig); her brother Ronnie; and her sister-in-law Paula Hockenberry. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
