It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Bitzel Sr. of Waynesburg, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominick Buzzelli and Edith Buzzelli (Capotosto); his wife Theresa Bitzel (Volpe); his daughter Katherine Speros; and his brother Dominick Bitzel.

He is survived by: his children, Peter Bitzel, Jr. (Lorie) of Naples, Richard Bitzel (Kathy) of Massillon and Linda Petros of Mint Hill; and his sisters, Donna Myers of Waynesburg, Shirley Udeck (Jim) of Canton and Gloria Hillyer of Atwater, Ohio.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
