He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabele (Slay) and Hiram Giddings, Sr.; and his brother Harry Giddings. He is survived by: his wife Sandra S. Giddings; and his children, Regina L. Consla (John) of Wayne, Jennifer L. Stamey (Christopher) of Ashtabula, Ohio and William A. Fraback (Traci) of Wayne, Ohio. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
