He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Franklin and Nancy Barker (Scaggs); his wife Virginia Herdman Barker; and his brother Ishmael Barker. He is survived by: his son Bruce Wayne Barker (Paula) of Waverly, Ohio; his grandchildren, Craig Barker (Lori) of Waverly and Dr. Daren Barker (Monica) of Tennessee; his stepgrandsons, Tyler Wagoner and Derrick Wagoner; and his sister Ruth Ann Barker Turner (Nick) of Bogota. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
