He is survived by: his parents, Kenneth Joseph Hurt, Sr. of Richlands and Wanda Hicks Hurt of Waverly; his wife Sarah Roar Hurt; his sons, Austin Joseph Hurt of Waverly and Zachary Schwalbach of Waverly; his brother Donald Hurt (Samantha); his nephews, Teagan, Thalin and Enan; his grandmother Nell Hicks; and his stepchildren, Alexis Roar, Kirsten Pfeifer and Landon Steffy.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
