It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Tackett of Waverly, Ohio, who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Tackett and Rosie Mae Tackett (Salyers); his children, Angela, April Tackett and Joshua Shane Tackett; and his daughter-in-law Peggy Tackett.
He is survived by: his wife Rissie Meade Tackett; his sons, Brian E. Tackett (Stacey L.) of Lucasville, Ryan "Matt" Tackett (Gina) of Southwebster and Johnny "Brett" Tackett of Jackson; and his grandchildren, Joshua T. Tackett, Teesha S. Seagraves, Samuel D. Tackett, Daisy M. Tackett, Kayden Tackett, Erica Tackett, Seth Tackett, Nathaniel Theobald, Hannah Brewer and Hayley A. Sebring (Hunter). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home (5856 Beaver Pike, Beaver, OH 45613). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
