He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hayes and Mildred Combs Hayes; and his brothers, Wynn and John Hayes. He is survived by: his children, Scott Hayes (Michele) of Waverly, Heather Hodson (Dan) of Morehead and Dustin Hayes (Kim) of Moraine, Ohio; his grandchildren, Sarah Smither, Brody Wolf (Abby), Kyler Hodson (Alex), Austin Wolf (Lauren), Chelsi Hayes, Colton Wolf (Addison), Dawson Wolf (Danielle), Easton Wolf, Hallie Hodson, Phoenix Wolf, Anthony Hayes and Savannah Hayes; his siblings, Ron Hayes (Martha), Darryl Hayes (Mindy), Rick Hayes (Ellie) and Beverly Baker; and the mother of his children Sybil Hayes. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
