She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Edward and Dorothy Louise Burns Shanks; and her spouse Hersel Shelton Hutchinson. She is survived by: her children, Bertha Louise Jenkins (Darrin) of Piketon, Frederick Dale Hutchinson (Lisa) of Jackson and Joshua Ray Derenburger (Audrey Allison) of Kingston; and her siblings, Louie Lee Shanks (Lois), Sandra Carlene Pinkerton (Eddie), Terry Robert Shanks, Brenda Kay Smith (Thomas) and Daniel Dale Shanks (Marla). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
