He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Hammontree and Verena Hammontree (Hetzel); his wife Mary A. Stutzman; his son William Hammontree; and his sister Virginia Geringer.
He is survived by: his children, David Hammontree of Wauseon and Patricia Janes (Patrick) of Mason, Ohio; his daughter-in-law Pam Hammontree of Bowling Green, Ohio; his grandchildren, Heidi Mekus, Austin Hammontree, Nichole Lewis, Amanda Vinson, Janelle Janes, Erin Harwell and Conner Janes; and his great grandchildren, Ezra, Tucker Mekus, Abel, Jolene Hammontree and Waylon Lewis.
Interment will follow at the Wauseon Union Cemetery with Military Rites being accorded by the Fulton County Honor Guard.The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the First Church of God in Wauseon.
