He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Plassman and Augusta Plassman (Rosebrock); his former wife Carol Lather; his daughter Barbara Plassman-Sears; and his siblings, Otis Plassman and Donna Plassman.
He is survived by: his wife Launita Glanz (Germann); his daughters, Linda Magnan of Wauseon and Mary Clark (David) of Wauseon; his stepchildren, Debra Byers (Gregory) of Columbus, Vicki Gilbert (Steve) of Fort Wayne, IN, Cinda Marckel (Tom) of Temperance, MI and Thomas Glanz (Marlene) of Waterville; and his siblings, Victor Plassman (Bonnie) of Liberty Center and Norma Kurth of Wauseon. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be given to St. James Church, Luther Mission Society or donor's choice.
