He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard S. Figy and Dorothy Figy (Segrist); and his brother Paul G. Figy. He is survived by: his close friend Linda Kraus; his children, Amy Straley (Tim) of Ft. Wayne, IN, Sara Wells (Steve) of Swanton and Christopher J. Figy of Wauseon; his sister Sandra Pound (Andy) of Flag Staff, AZ; and his grandchildren, Cody, Leetah and Ziggy.
