He was predeceased by: his father David Smith. He is survived by: his mother Sandra Smith (Rower) of Wauseon; his wife Heather Strait of Wauseon; his son Ryan David Smith of Austin, TX; and his sisters, Shawn Smith (Ken Carter) of Wauseon and Lisa Zimmerman (Ron) of Wauseon. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
