He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur "Pete" and Lavon Rice (Gilliland); his granddaughter Haley Rice; his brothers, Chuck and Frank Rice; and his brother-in-law Fritz Hartman.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Rice (Elling); his sons, Tim Rice (Jackie) and Todd Rice (Amy); his grandchildren, Dalton, Alexi (Andy Parish) and Ava; his great grandchildren, A. J. and Leesy Parish; his sisters, Judy Terwilliger (Don), Karen Gibbs (Bob) and Alma Hartman; and his sister-in-law Pam Rice.
Masks and social distancing will be required.
