He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell F. Schultz and Bessie Schultz (Spengler); his son Gary Dean Schultz; and his sisters, Arlene Lovejoy and Louise Short.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Birtcher); his children, Bob Schultz (Sue) of Wauseon and Julie Schultz (Ira Sterne) of Long Island, NY; his granddaughter Taylor Marie Cogar (John); and his siblings, Joan Lovejoy (Paul) and Larry Schultz (Holly). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home (219 S Fulton St, Wauseon, OH 43567). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wauseon Christ United Methodist Church (215 N Fulton St, Wauseon, OH 43567).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Wauseon High School Athletic Department or to Wauseon Christ United Methodist Church.
