He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Knierim and Leola Knierim; his wife Mary Jean Knierim (Morr); his grandson Matthew Knierim; and his brothers, William, Robert and Larry Knierim.
He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Knierim (Cathy) of Fayette, Philip Knierim (Lori) of Wauseon and Michael Knierim (Robin) of Wauseon, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Bradley Knierim (Amanda), Stacey Schroeder (Dustin), Craig Knierim (Tiffany), Aubrey Knierim, Grant Knierim and Kyle Knierim; and his sister Mary Jane Grieser. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
