He was predeceased by: his sister Donna Rossow; and his son Gerald S. DeLong. He is survived by: his spouse Helen; his children, JoAnn Brubaker (Paul) of Hamler, Debbie Hoover of Port Charlotte, David DeLong (Denise) of Canal Winchester and Laurie Wachtmann of Fayette; and his grandchildren, Jason Elledge (Ruth), Josh Stump (Heather), Ryan Stump (Crystal), Justin Williams, Stacia Williams (Pedro), Alyssa Williams, Christopher Hoover (Rachel), Anna Hoover, Adam DeLong (Shania), Devin DeLong, Brandon Wachtmann (Erin) and Braden Wachtmann. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous family, friends.
In lieu of flowers or other mementos, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Putnam County Hospice.
