He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Jacob and Virginia Belle Davis (Fausey); and his siblings, Glenn Davis (Leah), Tom Davis and Joan Sloan (Ralph).

He is survived by: his wife Amy Joanne Apger of Wauseon, Ohio.; his children, Michael Davis (Jessica) of West Unity, Tamera Babel (Ben) and Kathleen Nofziger (John); and his brothers, James Davis (Betty), Dale Davis (Sadie) and Donald Davis (Susan) of Delta.
