He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Peter and Hazel Long (Tonjes); and his sisters, Betty Tussing and Mary Lou King. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Schmidt; his sons, Cary Long (DeAnna) of Grand Rapids, Kyle Long (Kerrie) of Perrysburg, Allen Long (Christine) of Novi and Daniel Long (Audree) of Springfield; and his brothers, Edward and Michael Long. He is also survived by grandchildren and 5 loving great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home- Waterville Chapel (7220 Dutch Rd, Waterville, OH 43566). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John Xxiii Catholic Church (24250 N Dixie Hwy, Perrysburg, OH 43551).
