He was predeceased by: his father Oren Wears; and his aunt Eloise Felour. He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Schwendeman Miller Wears; his children, Trey Wears (Ivy) of Belpre, Kacie Wears of Lakewood, Logan Wears of Lower Salem and Morgan Wears (Alex Miller) of Lower Salem; his stepsons, Rodney Miller (Rachel) of Key West and Adam Miller of Marietta; his grandchildren, Jamison, Hadley, Ronan and Korbin; and his siblings, Tina O'Neil of St. Petersburg, Florida, Greg Wears (Becky), Raymond Wears (Jenny) and Diana McCoy (Russ). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
