He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Atwood Miller and Martha Shepherd Miller (Meek); his wife Evelyn Ruth Lyall Miller; his son Raymond Lee Miller; and his siblings, Ivan "Bud" Miller, Gary Miller, Grace Lyall, Mabel Severt, Bina Bostick, Helen Stadler, Bertha Bodimer Gilliland, Norma Cooper, Dorothy Bostick and Ruth Miller.
He is survived by: his son James Justin Miller (Janie) of Vinton, Ohio; his grandchildren, Melissa Kilpatrick (Trey) of Mt. Olive, Heather Miller of Wilmington, Brandon Unroe and Brett Unroe (Jessica) of Vinton, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Harper Hayes of Wilmington, Thomas "Tuck" Kilpatrick IV of Mt. Olive, Ethan, Karissa, La Marius, Lillionna, Brooke and Rylee Unroe of Vinton, Ohio; and his sister Janet Meek Shuff of Wheelersburg, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
