She was predeceased by: her parents, William Self and Mercedes Self (Banks); her son Brant Brooks; and her siblings, Michelle Self and Kevin Self.

She is survived by: her husband David Brooks; her daughters, Brandy Barengo of Marietta and Sarah Ware (Andrew) of Waterford; and her grandchildren, Logan Brooks, Jaden Brooks, Dominick Barengo, Bailey Barengo, Josiah Ware, Joel Ware, Luke Ware and Asher Ware.
