He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Reed and Hazel Fern Reed (Dotson); his son Paul E. Reed; and his brothers, Ernest Reed and Clarence "Eddy" Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Deming; his daughter Nikki Montgomery (Randy) of Athens, OH; his grandchildren, Anthony Reed, Christopher Howard, Shailah Howard and Sean Parish; and his brother John Reed of Lowell.
