It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Guiao (Washington Township, Ohio), born in Paris, Ile de France, who passed away on April 26, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Platon M. Kriwoschein and Lydia Kriwoschein (Von Ragotzky); her husband Dr. Antonio Mercado Guiao; her siblings-in-law, Lourdes Soriano and Rodolfo Soriano; her daughters, Maria Guiao Babilon (John William Babilon) of Bellbrook, Ohio and Barbara Guiao Gabric (Ralph Gabric) of Glen Ellyn; and her grandchildren, Lily and Ralphie Gabric.

In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Dayton Humane Society, the Society for Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals, or a charity of their choice.

Although we were separated by hundreds of miles, Lydia and I, including eight younger members of my family, were in almost daily contact re politics of the day.
