He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Peters and Bertha C. Peters; his brother John; and his former spouse Isabel King. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Collins Mathias; his children, Christopher Peters (Darla) and Jennifer Newport (Christopher); and his stepchildren, Mike Mathias, Kathy Rearick (Ronald), Patsy Storie and David Mathias (Peggy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
