He is survived by: his children, Diane Schmidt (Dave) and Alan Dodson (Debra); his grandchildren, David Schmidt II (Skye), Aaron Schmidt (Sierra), Rebekah Cramer (Ken) and Cody Dodson; his great grandchildren, Brady Schmidt, Brice Schmidt, Lila Schmidt, Aria Schmidt, Briar Schmidt, Charlotte Cramer, Hudson Cramer, Aubrey Cramer and Coden Dodson; and his siblings, Stanton Dodson and Zella Cook (Larry).
