Rita Joyce (Scott) Faris Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Joyce (Scott) Faris of Washington Court House, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Scott and Mary Scott (Eakins); her significant other John Franklin Faris; her granddaughter Celeste Hope Faris; her siblings, Keith Scott, Kent Scott (Katherine), Kathleen Griffith (Ervin), Karlene Robison (Harold), Ronald Scott and Randell Scott (Donna); and her brother-in-law Joseph Faris.
She is survived by: her children, Dean Faris (Barb) of Washington, C. H. and Diane Munro (Dennis) of Washington, C. H.; her grandchildren, Derek Faris (Serena) of Washington, C. H., Devin Turner (Mychal) of Grove City, Christopher Brown (Whitney) of Yellow Springs and Alexandra Huffman (Michael) of Alaska; her great grandchildren, Keegan Williams (Faris), Maxx Huffman, Edisun Huffman, Evelynn Huffman and Logan Brown; and her sister-in-law Ruth Scott of Leesburg. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the South Side Church of Christ (921 S Fayette St, Washington Court House, OH 43160). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rita's name to the LIFE Pregnancy Center, 238 S. Fayette St., Washington Court House, OH 43160.
