He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Brown and Zelma Brown (Bowles); his son Billy Ray Brown; his great grandchild James Robert Alan Bailey; his parents-in-law, Robert and Edna Smith; his son-in-law Chuck Harner; his siblings, Gerald Brown, Harold Brown and Virginia Wood; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Walter, Jack Strickland and Bradley Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Jane Brown (Smith); his children, Jennifer Bailey (Alan), Angela Harner, David II Brown (Angie), Eric Brown and Amanda Brown; and his siblings, Judy Walters, Sylvia Strickland and Donald Brown. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.
