He was predeceased by: his parents, Reah Snyder and Millward Snyder (Sharier); his wife Charlotte Snyder (Reed); his grandson Caleb Allen Raber; his siblings, Frank "Butch" Goch, Elizabeth Pritchard, Catherine "Bonnie" Kuntz, Donald Goch and John "Jitty" Goch; and his brother-in-law Jessie Maple.

He is survived by: his children, Russell Snyder Jr. (Connie) of Rittman, OH and Mearle Snyder of Rittman, OH; his stepchildren, Malinda Raber (Bud) of Millersburg, OH, Michael Troyer of Wooster, OH and Jeremy Troyer of Warsaw, OH; his grandchildren, Taylor Raber (Gabby), Lexi Miller (Tate), Brennah, Averee, Hudson Troyer, Faith Schlabach (Gary), Norman, Noah Troyer, Zach, Dustin, Gabe Snyder and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, Caleb Raber, Rylann and Colt Schlabach; his siblings, Lyle Snyder (Kathy) and Cheryl Maple; and his pets, TJ and Willy.
