She was predeceased by: her parents, William Zed and Ethel Alice Newell (Streeter); her great grandchild Vincent Nelson; her siblings, Mary Lou Barnett, Dorothy Ann Valentine-Newell, Harriet E. Guilliams, David Newell and Larry "Jock" Newell; and her nephew Larry Glen Newell.
She is survived by: her close friend Mack Hupp Sr.; her children, Harold McVay III of North Carolina, Bret Anthony McVay of Lima, Ohio and Cindy Lynn Newell of Coshocton; and her brother William J. Newell of Chillicothe, Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
