He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Woodrow and Mildred Irene Darr (Roahrig); his sister Janice Thomas; his stepdaughters, Becky Hanes and Sandra Lewis; and his brother-in-law Richard Ryan.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Darr (Fenstermaker); his son James A. Darr, Jr. (Lisa); his stepson Robert A. Hanes; his sisters, Shirley Fox (Gerald) and Carol Ryan; and his stepgrandchildren, Andrea Wood, Natasha Lewis, Brandi McMillan, Jonathan Shryock (Marissa), Zachary Lewis (Angel) and Colt Hanes.
