He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Buckmaster and Betty Buckmaster (Walker); his wife Rosie Mae Buckmaster (Dilly); and his siblings, Butch, Bud, Bob Buckmaster, Nancy Mercer and Mary Jane Darr.
He is survived by: his children, John Buckmaster of Coshocton, Jamie Croston of Zanesville and James Buckmaster Jr. of Coshocton; his stepchildren, Timmy W. Cook of Coshocton and Deborah Good of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Cara, Amber Good, Erica Cook, Chris Timmons, Tony Rochester, Chad Lousha, Morris "Hooch" Hopkins Jr., Trevor, Kiana, Piper, Auston, Tyra, Shawnta, Michael and Josh; and his sister Pat Powelson (Lynn) of Conesville. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
