He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Akins and Chloe Akins (Hawkins); and his grandson Steven Akins. He is survived by: his spouse Rosalie King; his children, Eugene Akins Jr (Nancy) of Warsaw, Steven Akins (Cathie) of Warsaw and Cathy Snyder; and his sister Mildred Israel of West Lafayette.
