He was predeceased by: his brother Millard Brown. He is survived by: his sister Virginia Clara Leggon; his wife Annette Elizabeth Allen; his stepgranddaughter Courtney; his friends, Max Richardson and Larry Hines; his daughters, Kimberly Carroll-Humphrey (Hayden) of Dublin and Cindy Carroll-Kimble of Shaker Heights, Ohio; his brothers, Robert W. Carroll (Anita Bernadine Sodaitis) of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Ernest "Buzzy" Allen, Jr. and Mark B. Allen Sr. of Shaker Heights, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jordyn Humphrey, Jayden Humphrey, Karlee Kimble (Fanni) and Courtney Smith-Kimble; his great grandchildren, Tai Kimble and Harper Pollard; his nephew Mark B. Allen, Jr.; and his niece Diane Allen. He is also survived by other relatives and close friends.

Although he was battling Parkinson's for the last three years, Chris never displayed much discomfort, nor did he ever complain because he never wanted to be a burden.
