She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry E. Lewis and Gertrude M. Lewis (Talmadge D. Lynch); her son Tyrone I. Boyd; and her siblings, Richard Lewis, William Greenlee, Patricia Gordon, Lillian Bell, Henry J. Lewis, Haywood Bush Sr., Charles E. Lewis, Mary Robinson and Elizabeth Wheeler.
She is survived by: her children, Ava Dean-El, Terence R. Boyd and Ricky Lynch (Theresa); her sister Gertrude Kelso; and her grandchildren, Ishmael Dean-El (Kristin), Yazmine Dean-El, Christine T. McAlpin, Destiny Owens, Gabrielle A. Dean, Shantaya Thomas and Concetta Thomas. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
