He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Dorff and Thelma Dorff (Bell); and his brothers, Robert and Pete Dorff. He is survived by: his children, Thomas G. Jr. Dorff (Carolyn) of Howland, Kim Ilnicki (Bill McCoski) of Johnstown, NY and Cheri Papalios (George) of Howland; his grandchildren, Christina, Jennifer Dorff, Jeremiah Dorff (Heather McGovern), Emily McCallum (Vincent), Elana Ilnicki, Anna Ilnicki (Marisa Velez), Andrew Ilnicki (Teresa), Michael Papalios (Vanessa), Nicole Papalios and Alexis Papalios (Amir Atighehchi); and his sister-in-law Janice Hoolihan of Warren. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; five and half great-great-grandchildren.
