He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mears and Ruth Miller Mears; his stepson Daniel Brison; and his great grandchild Mina Rayne Blackwell. He is survived by: his wife Florence Elaine Smith Mears; his children, Raymond Mears Jr., George Mears (Jody), Robert Mears, Michelle Lukco (Michael) and Melanie Allen; his stepchildren, Marianne Doolittle (Ricky) and Christopher Brison (Jackie); and his sisters, Sandra Wolford (John) and Kathleen Clement (Walter). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
