With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Liakaris of Warren, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maria Liakaris to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Panteli Dontas and Kalliopi Dontas; her husband Dimitrios Liakaris; her son Haralambos Liakaris (Bob); and her brother Panayioti Dontas.

She is survived by : her children, Anna Paxos (Louis) of Warren, Louis Liakaris (Peggy) of Warren and Lori Liakaris of Warren; her grandchildren, Evi, Jimmy, Chris Paxos, Dimitrios (Tanya), George (Cher), Marios (Amy), Mary and James Liakaris; her brother Mike Dontas of Bethlehem, PA; and her sister-in-law Paraskevi Dontas of Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (429 High St NE, Warren, OH 44481). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Maria's name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St NE, Warren, OH 44481, OR to the St. Paraskevi Church in Fyta, Chios, Greece.
