It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth J. DeRose of Warren, Ohio, who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Karafa and Mary Karafa (Churman); and her siblings, Alice Flask, Marie Boyle and Michael Karafa.
She is survived by: her husband Louis; her children, Kim Sotak (John) of Hilliard, OH, Frank DeRose (Laura) of Las Vegas, NV and Mary Flo Palen (Dave) of Salem, OH; her grandchildren, James Sotak (Heather) of Hilliard, OH, Alan Sotak (Jessica) of Delaware, OH, Taylor DeRose of Las Vegas, NV, Shelby DeRose of Houston, TX, Camille DeRose of Phoenix, AZ, Olivia and Madelyn Palen of Salem, OH; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Louis, Isabelle and Jack Sotak; and her sister Helen Lesnoski of Warren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Church (2532 Burton St SE, Warren, OH 44484). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
