She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin R. Ferguson and Estella G. Ferguson (Lynn); her husband Richard C. Shafer; and her siblings, Ben "Bill" Ferguson, Harold "Monk" Ferguson and Shirley "Sis" Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Richards (Dan) of Snellville, GA, Patricia Kinnavy (Marty) of Champion, OH, Jolyn Emerine (Doug) of Champion, OH and Richard K. Shafer of Warren, OH. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
